Miles B. Norman is a photojournalist living near Akron, Ohio. For five years, Miles worked as a staff photographer for the Star-Gazette in Elmira, New York. Previously, he worked at the Argus-Press in Owosso, Michigan. Miles is a native of Akron. He was introduced to photography at a young age by his father, Robert E. Norman who took thousands of family and vacation pictures. His interest in photojournalism was nurtured as a teenager by older brother, Curt Norman, a full-time news, wedding and portrait photographer, who was generous in sharing his equipment as well as photography and darkroom experience.
Miles has worked as a full-time professional photographer since graduating from the University of Akron in 1987 with a B.S. in Production Management. He works closely with his wife, art teacher and artist MaryElizabeth Norman. He has sons, ages 10 and 13.
